Hello,

as I move back to France, I have to pass a dealer and then the"french version of DMV" inspections....

So I need to get back to the stocks pipes and the catalyseur, with others things....

I have spend about 1hour but no way to have the 2 pipes entries and fixations points all in the good position at the same time.

So wanted to know if there is a way to do it or I will have to remove something else ?

Stay safe !

I think I can recall a thread on this way back somewhere, or just a mention, but I think the person had to remove the headers or at least loosen everything including the front balance pipe to get the cat back in it's place. You then need to check that the header gaskets are still sealing.

Just loosen them.

Thanks for the informations... You just confirms my fears....

I have try to loosen the link pipe connector ( the one just in front of the oil filter, if you see what I mean). but not enough to provide the room necessary.

I am going to try to remove the arm holding the left pipe and passenger foot rests. (see page 17.4 in the service manual).
I think I remember to do it in the past to be able to put back in place the charcoal filter (yes I have bought in Albany, NY a California TBird version with the evaporative loss control system) that needs to be removed to remove or put back in place the catalyst box.

My occupation fro this week-end if I do not have top priority things like moving the grass or others garden stuffs I love....

Stay safe and wash your hands
